Dear residents of RHEN, When my husband and I looked for homes in RHENin 1988, we were attracted by the idea that houses in this area were supposed to be landscaped in a natural manner, they were supposed to be set down below the crest of the hills, and they didnot have fences unless a pool was built. We liked the idea of a "natural" look. Each of the seven proposals that are being considered is unnecessary. The roundabout looks almost natural; additional signage is not needed--we give people street directions to our homes; the existing landscaping at the RHEN entry is attractive and subtle;the common areas are the foothills of Mt. Diablo--we like them that way; the walls on Biltmore serve their purpose; the island parcels are a pleasure to drive or walk by; a landscaped walkway and a gazebo are totally unnecessary and would detract from our lovely natural foothill setting. I believe property values will be the same whether we go to all this expense or not, so let's just appreciate the natural hills of Mt Diablo which some of us moved up here to enjoy!!!
