Article in SF Chronicle on deer rubbing their antlers on shrubs and trees - Tips on detouring garden nibblers

The Board contacted California Fish and Game regarding thinning of the deer herd in our area.  This e-mail from fish and game.pdf shows their thoughts on what can and cannot be done to control deer in our area.  They suggest various methods which you might consider trying.  One main point is that no one should ever feed native wildlife, i.e., deer, turkeys, quail, raccoons, skunks, bobcats, mountain lions, squirrels, etc.

A number of higher end neighborhoods and cities are banning noise pollution (ala leaf blowers) to make life better (quieter).  A good article in the SF Chronicle describes the issues on both sides and what communities have done SFChron - Leaf Blowers.pdf.  Noise seems to carry further in our area - should we also consider a ban?
